Laura is an engaging, authentic and passionate journalist who’s brought her distinctive and personal presentation style to some of the UK's most watched programmes.
Laura is found mainly on BBC Radio 5Live and BBC Scotland. On 5Live, Laura hosts her own programme, bringing her audience in-depth interviews and lively discussion on one of the nations’ biggest radio stations. Laura can also be heard regularly presenting BBC Radio 5Live Breakfast, Drive and Weekend Breakfast programmes, as well as presenting Naga Munchetty and Colin Murray in their absence, and has hosted the BBC Sounds podcast Must Watch.
She has been a well-loved and trusted face and voice to Scottish audiences during the last 10 years at BBC Scotland as a presenter and reporter. She has travelled across the world presenting from places like Australia, Germany, Italy and Spain. She can be found hosting BBC Radio Scotland's Mornings.., a daily phone in and magazine programme, and presented The Rugby Breakfast Show in front of live audiences in Italy, Ireland and Scotland, which was nominated for an ARIA award for 'Best Sport Programme'. Laura also regularly fronts Reporting Scotland: News at Seven, Reporting Scotland and various BBC Radio Scotland news programmes.
Previously, Laura could be found on the BBC News channel, presenting sport news, as well as fronting BBC Sport’s flagship programmes Sportsday and Sport Today. Laura has brought her unique and warm presenting style to major network programmes such as BBC Breakfast and BBC Olympic programming.
Laura was one of the original presenters on BBC Scotland’s flagship news programme The Nine. She also presented an entertainment format The Edit and topical panel show Seven Days. A natural and energetic on-screen presence, Laura has presented high profile TV programmes like Sportscene for BBC One Scotland, live Women’s Six Nations coverage, and various sport programmes for BBC Sport.
From current affairs, news and politics, to sport and entertainment, Laura brings her authentic presentation style, and is able to make topics relatable to audiences. She is a likeable, enthusiastic and warm on-air presence.
Laura is also an experienced event host and after dinner speaker across the UK, and is regularly heard on voiceovers for the BBC.
