Laura is an accomplished and highly versatile broadcaster, journalist and presenter, recognised for her warm, authentic and distinctive on-air style. Over the course of her career, she has become a familiar face and trusted voice across some of the BBC’s biggest television and radio programmes.

A prominent presence across BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Scotland, Laura regularly presents some of the network’s key programmes, including BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast, Drive and Weekend Breakfast. She has also presented Nicky Campbell’s phone-in programme, The Late Programme and Colin Murray’s show, as well as hosting the BBC Sounds podcast Must Watch.

For the past three years, Laura has fronted her own programme on 5 Live three nights a week, leading in-depth interviews and lively discussions across news, current affairs, sport and culture. Her ability to engage audiences across a broad range of subjects has made her a versatile and highly recognisable voice on one of the UK’s biggest radio stations.

Laura has spent 14 years at BBC Scotland, where she has established herself as a trusted and well-loved broadcaster across radio and television. She regularly presents BBC Radio Scotland’s Mornings, a daily phone-in and magazine programme, alongside Lunchtime Live, Drivetime and Radio Scotland Breakfast.​ She has also presented The Rugby Breakfast Show to live audiences in Italy, Ireland and Scotland. The programme was shortlisted for an ARIA Award for Best Sport Programme.

An experienced live broadcaster, Laura has presented from around the world, including Australia, Germany, Italy and Spain. She regularly fronts Reporting Scotland: News at Seven, Reporting Scotland and BBC Radio Scotland news programmes, bringing authority, warmth and energy to live and breaking coverage.

Laura’s network television work has included presenting sport news on the BBC News Channel, as well as BBC Sport’s flagship programmes Sportsday and Sport Today. She has also reported on BBC Breakfast and major BBC Olympic programming, demonstrating her ability to operate confidently across some of the BBC’s highest-profile network output.

Over the summer, Laura presented build-up programming for Scotland’s 2026 World Cup matches across the BBC News Channel, iPlayer and online, further adding to her extensive experience of major live sporting events and national coverage.

She was one of the original presenters of BBC Scotland’s flagship news programme, The Nine, and has fronted a broad range of programming spanning news, current affairs, sport and entertainment. Her television credits also include The Edit, topical panel show Seven Days, Sportscene for BBC One Scotland and live Women’s Six Nations coverage.​
